Thursday Feb’y 3rd. Nothing interesting to record today beyond a change in the weather. We have had a very strong wind, or semi monsoon, from the NE causing the ship to toss about & to the discomfort of many passengers. Personally I have stood it well, but experience the prevailing feeling of squeamishness. I’ve been very drowsy all day but the heat of the previous day affected me much. Our position at noon was as follows:
